PRESS RELEASE FROM THE STUDENTS' UNION AAUA.
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE STUDENTS' UNION
Alutarian greetings and salutations to all AAUAITES. It is high time we broke the silence and made our stand known.
Our silence has not been because of cowardice.
First, we need to let you know that the Students' Union have been duly representing the interest of the students; the course for wish we've been elected.
Hence, we implore the studentry to keep calm and join hands with us as we press on in our struggles through the machineries of diplomacy.
We wish to let you know that we have been, and we'll be proactive in all our endeavours. We'll agitate sporadically and aggressively, *but not violently.*
We are civilized. Hence, we'll never preach nor resort to violence; neither would we ever implore anyone to be violent.
In a nutshell, we plead with all AAUAITES to remain calm and patient in this trying time.
As the Yoruba adage says, *_"Ogbon l'egbon agbara"_*.
We implore all AAUAITES to put their faith in us, and follow strictly all instructions that will or may be passed across to them by the Students' Union, and not to go rogue.
*Therefore, we want to sound it loud and clear that we remain committed to our agitation for resumption, and campaign against the purported hike in school fees.*
We hereby charge all well-meaning AAUAITES to join their voices with us, so that we can be heard.
With the solidarity, pragmatism, oneness and equity which we preach, we'll surely prevail!
Greatest Nigerian Students!
Greatest AAUAITES!
God bless you all.
