Image
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE STUDENTS' UNION Alutarian greetings and salutations to all AAUAITES. It is high time we broke the silence and made our stand known. Our silence has not been because of cowardice. Hence, we implore the studentry to keep calm and join hands with us as we press on in our struggles through the machineries of diplomacy. We wish to let you know that we have been, and we'll be proactive in all our endeavours. We'll agitate sporadically and aggressively, *but not violently.* We are civilized. Hence, we'll never preach nor resort to violence; neither would we ever implore anyone to be violent. In a nutshell, we plead with all AAUAITES to remain calm and patient in this trying time. As the Yoruba adage says, *_"Ogbon l'egbon agbara"_*. We implore all AAUAITES to p...

Stay Away From UTME Centres – JAMB Warns Parents

Image
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has asked the parents of candidates sitting the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to stay away from Computer-Based Centres. The JAMB Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede, who said this on Monday in Abuja while monitoring the Mock UTME at the Kogo and Veritas University CBT centres, noted that some parents had formed the habit of hanging around the centres to engage in examination malpractice. JAMB Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede said: “We urge parents to keep away from CBT centres. We are preparing people for university education, but the parents come around too often. They want their children or their wards to pass at all costs. “This practice is not helpful because they will not follow these candidates to the lecture rooms. Lecturers and others will start taking undue advantage of such parents because they are not mature. They are not prepared for the task. I think parents should steer clear of all CBT centres an...

It’s located just 10km away from the airport, one of the busiest in Europe. Airline bosses were hoping to add more runways in order to allow extra movement in and out of the city. But Sanchez-Prieto says the proposed expansion can’t happen “because you cannot pass over where Messi lives.” The agitated president added: “This doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world.” Idyllic Castelldefels is just a short 12-mile drive from the iconic Nou Camp and boasts stunning views out into the Med. It is the exclusive hideaway where Philippe Coutinho also recently bought a house. The stars all live in a small area know as Bellamar. Ivan Raki...
